I quite like digital photography and have got a Canon 5D with a few lenses. Despite the swanky kit I’m still strictly amateur hour and have far more to learn than has been learnt to date. Even so some of them are starting to come out looking nice.
I tend to have any photos I’ve take on the web. Original I used iPhoto to publish pictures onto my .mac account. You can find those over here.
I’ve now got a Flickr account which you can find here. Flickr’s pretty similar to .mac but has a few important extras such as
- You can upload high resolution images
- There are pretty good community management features (groups, friends, etc)
- It keep exif data
- Has some great RSS features. It’s really easy to get notification of new pictures by friends or see any commenst made on your own work
- You can get a limited feature account for free
- A pro account only costs $24 for a year
- You get infinite storage
- And a whopping great 2gb monthly upload quota
Here are a few of my favourite pictures I’ve taken so far, click on them for larger versions.
I wouldn’t mind some formal training and am looking at doing either an A or AS level at nightschool later in the year.
